Monash Associate Professor represents Knowledge Management in Singapore
On May 26 and June 2nd 2006,Associate Professor Frada Burstein was interviewed by Radio Singapore International (RSI) on the topic of Knowledge Management, an area that is currently of great interest to the Singaporean business and government as well as in Australia.
Associate Professor Burstein has more than 20 years of professional and research experience in the area of decision support and knowledge management systems. She received a Masters in Computer Science (Applied Math) by research with honours from the Tbilisi State University, Georgia, USSR and a Ph.D. in 1984 in Theoretical Cybernetics and Information Theory from the Soviet Academy of Sciences. Associate Professor Burstein has been an academic at Monash University since 1992. She established and has been the Director for the Knowledge Management Research Program in the Faculty of Information Technology since 1998, which utilises an industry-sponsored virtual laboratory for studying modern technologies for supporting knowledge creation, storage, communication and application.
