IT Professionals Industry Event

On Tuesday November 14, 2006 the Faculty of Information Technology worked together with Monash Careers & Employment to bring 5 major companies to Monash's Caulfield Campus to meet IT students.  Approximately 250 students attended the event.

Representatives from Accenture, National Australia Bank, Oakton, ADP Employment Services and IBM addressed students with information about their company and industry, and the employment opportunities available for IT graduates   Students then had the opportunity to meet with these representatives one-on-one to learn more about their companies and to develop their own networks.

Prior to the companies' presentations, students were given information and advice on resume writing, interviewing techniques and communication skills. Monash Careers & Employment offer services to students to help them develop these skills to ensure they are job ready when they graduate.  See the Careers & Employment website for more information.
