Success of Undergraduate Information Session

On Thursday 23rd February, a Direct Entry Information Session was held as part of the Marketing and Development undergraduate recruitment campaign. The session was organised to provide prospective students who did not initially receive offers for Monash IT with opportunity to gain entry to our courses. Academic staff members from across all courses and Schools were in attendance to provide expert advice.

Although these sessions have run for several years, at last month’s event, the attendance and enrolment rates were the highest in recent times. Of the students who attended the session: 5 have enrolled this semester; a further 2 students will commence their studies in semester 2 and 1 student is seeking a place through the single-subject entry method. The combined income of these students over the course of their degrees will be approximately $160,000. The cost of this session and its associated marketing campaign was $14,000.

Marketing and Development would again like to thank the academic and administrative staff who helped in this event: Peter O’Donnell, Dr Ann Nicholson, Michael Morgan, Dr Trent Mifsud, and Sascha Burnside.
