2008 ARC Funding Success

The ARC has recently announced its funding decisions for 2008.

Colleagues within the Faculty were involved in seven successful ARC grant applications: five Discovery, one LIEF, and one Linkage.  This is an excellent result!

Congratulations to David Abramson, Maria Garcia de la Banda, David Green, Shonali Krishnaswamy, Jon McCormack, Bernd Meyer, Mark Wallace, Arkady Zaslavsky, and Ingrid Zukerman.  The Discovery Grant won by Arkdady Zaslavsky and Shonali Krishnaswamy also includes an Australian Postdoctoral Award to Dr M Gaber.

My sincere thanks to all who took the time to prepare applications for the current round of grants.  I realize that being engaged with ARC applications is a time-consuming, frustrating, and often disappointing process.  Again, I am grateful to all who submitted an application.

Finally, I would like to thank all those colleagues who assisted with and acted as a mentor in the preparation of applications for the current round of grants.
