ACS Foundation WIL Scholarship – Satyam Work Integrated Learning Scholarship
Four students from the Faculty of Information Technology are currently undertaking work experience in India as successful recipients of the Satyam Work Integrated Learning Undergraduate/Post Graduate Scholarship. They are:
Vasile Sachelaru (Bachelor of Network Computing) – Caulfield Campus
Boris Khelemski (Bachelor of Business Systems) – Clayton Campus
Yan Nan Wu (Bachelor of Computing) – Caulfield Campus
Ty Gambling (Bachelor of Information Technology) – Gippsland Campus
This scholarship was offered by Satyam Computer Services Ltd in conjunction with the ACS Foundation.
The first 3 months involves intensive college-based training and exposure to various IT methodologies, which is then followed by a further 3 months of practical experience. Upon completion of their overseas experience, students return to Australia for a further 12 months work integrated learning experience.
Additional costs of travel, accommodation and a per diem for additional expenses are covered by the scholarship with a further tax free scholarship of $28,000 upon return to Australia. Scholarship total estimated at in excess of $50,000.
Out of the 10 scholarships offered, Monash University was the most successful single university with four scholarship recipients.
