Linux industry certification

Study Enterprise Linux and prepare for Linux industry certification at the same time as studying a Masters Unit

The Faculty of IT and Monash Professional are offering CSE9001 Computer technology  as a 1 hour lecture combined with a course from Monash Professional (a unit of Monash College) teaching practical skills and knowledge in the Enterprise usage of Linux.

This course has a strong practical slant covering the use of Linux in a typical enterprise network environment. It assumes you have a basic knowledge of computer hardware and operating systems. You will learn how to install, configure and administer Linux servers, network administration, DNS and DHCP using Linux servers, as well as how to use Linux servers on a mixed network – for example, one that is predominantly a Microsoft Network. 

This course is intended to prepare attendees for the CompTIA Linux+ Certification.

The course will be of 13 sessions of 3 hours each. On completion, a certificate of industry-based skills and experience obtained will be issued.
