Industry Based Learning placement at Oxfam

Oxfam Australia

We are pleased to announce that the Monash Faculty of Information Technology's Industry Based Learning (IBL) partners, with support of the Victorian Government, will place an IBL student on a full-time 22-week placement at Oxfam from July 20. The Victorian Government will pay 80% of the cost of the placement and Monash 20%.

Oxfam has already had the opportunity to interview forty-seven of the very best students in the faculty to identify the student that best meets their needs and fits their culture.

Monash has a strategic partnership with Oxfam and this placement will be a tangible demonstration of that partnership.

The placement will also be the first of a Monash University Industry Based Learning student in the non-profit sector of the economy and will coincide with the regular placement of about forty Monash FIT students at more than twenty industry partners, including Accenture, the ANZ Bank, Deloitte, IBM, National Australia Bank and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
