Teaching excellence awards - 2010

In 2008, the Faculty introduced the "Teaching Excellence Awards".

These awards are used to:

  • celebrate the importance of excellent teaching
  • recognise and reward excellent teachers
  • identify potential teachers and projects for further nominations for awards within the University, Australia and overseas.

Award categories
There are three categories of awards:

Procedures and guidelines
Procedures and guidelines (pdf, 65kb) for FIT Awards for Teaching Excellence and Support Programs that enhance learning.

Nominations
Staff and students are invited to nominate a teacher or support service within the Faculty of IT that you think deserve recognition. Nomination forms are now available: https://secure.monash.edu/infotech/resources/staff/academic-award/. Staff and students can nominate a teacher or support service up until 29 October 2010.

Submission process
In order to be considered for an award, nominated staff will need to submit an application.

Closing date
Applications for a citation, teaching or support services award are accepted up until 12 November 2010. Awards will be announced in early December.
