The World Embedded Software Contest 2010 is an international contest hosted by the Ministry of Knowledge Economy, Korea.
The contest was first held in 2003, and its scale was increased last year as an international contest, gathering many young people from all around the world for competition and sharing trends and ideas regarding embedded software.
The subject of international division is 'Free-subject embedded software based on noncommercial open source software (Embedded System, User Interface, Applications, etc.)'. It is open to anybody. Last year, Finnish students won the championship with the subject of 'eGameCon-multipurpose USB game controllers'.

It is open to all foreign students and related companies. Through the document screening, 4 teams for invited track and 4 teams for public subscription track will be selected. Support for airfare, demonstration booth etc. will be provided so that students can participate in the demonstration screening (exhibition).
There are many chances to share friendship with foreign students and companies that have common interests and follow their dreams, showing their ability. They can get opportunities to make the best of themselves and show their end products in front of many people. We award 2 excellent about USD $4,200 and about USD $2,500 each.
The deadline for the application is 4 October 2010.
