Biodata of Dr. Song Bin Dr. Song Bin is a scientist and the head of Life Cycle Engineering program in the Singapore Institute of Manufacturing Technology. His current areas of work are on methods and tools for new technology assessment based on technical, economical and ecological considerations over the life cycle. Included are the life cycle cost and environmental impacts by alternative materials, optional manufacturing processes, and product end-of-life management. He has let and participated in many research and industrial funded projects in the areas of intelligent decision-support, life cycle cost modeling and sustainability assessment, product lifecycle management, engineering process management, engineering change impact analysis, concurrent engineering, and development of a SaaS business-information management platform and specialized CAD modules for die/mold making. He graduated with B.Eng from the Northeast University, China and obtained his Ph.D (Mech) from University of London, UK.
