Biography:

A 30 year veteran of IT, including public service experience computer programming applications for scientific modelling of water resources, data processing and operating systems, computer systems and network operations and operations management.

Private sector experience in research and development of computer and security hardware and software.

University experience in lecturing, research, department management of staff, executive level management of multi campus and multinational education programs.

Research strengths are in the deployment and application of network and other state of the art technologies, and the application of advanced security technologies to issues of confidentiality and privacy.

Leadership of the ICT profession in Australia (ACS.org.au) and of the UNESCO sponsored international federation (IFIP.org).
