Biography:

Guojun Lu is currently a Professor and Associate Dean of Faculty of Information Technology, Monash University. He has held positions at Loughborough University, National University of Singapore, and Deakin University, after he obtained his PhD in 1990 from Loughborough University and BEng in 1984 from Nanjing Institute of Technology (now South East University). Guojun's main research interests are in multimedia communications and multimedia information indexing and retrieval. He has published over 130 refereed journal and conference papers in these areas and wrote two books Communication and Computing for Distributed Multimedia Systems (Artech House 1996), and Multimedia Database Management Systems (Artech House 1999).
