Biography:Rowena Chau graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong with an honours degree in Social Science majoring in Economics. She obtained her Master of Business Systems from the School of Business Systems at the Monash University in Australia in 1996, followed by her Ph.D degree in 2002. Her doctoral thesis was on Fuzzy Models for Multilingual Information Seeking. Dr. Chau has joined the School of Business Systems as a Sessional Assistant Lecturer during her postgraduate years. She is currently a Research Fellow and is actively researching in areas including Web mining, text mining, multilingual information processing and knowledge management.
