Application process roadmap

International students
International students	International applicants, who are not currently studying VCE / IB in Victoria, should apply for on-campus undergraduate, postgraduate or research degrees through International Recruitment Services
Domestic Undergraduate study
Current year 12 students	All students currently studying a Year 12 qualification, such as Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE), International Baccalaureate (IB) or interstate Year 12, must apply through the Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre (VTAC).
Undergraduate direct entry applicants	Domestic applicants, who are not current year 12 students, must apply directly to the Faculty of Information Technology. Undergraduate honours degree applicants	Both domestic and international applicants wishing to apply for an Honours degree, must do so through the Faculty of Information Technology. See How to apply for an undergraduate honours degree.
Domestic Postgraduate study
Postgraduate by coursework and postgraduate honours applicants	Applications for postgraduate degrees by coursework must be submitted through the Faculty of Information Technology. See How to apply for a postgraduate coursework and postgraduate honours degree.
Postgraduate Pathway Faculty of IT Awards - Executive Certificate in IT Professional Certificate in IT	Applications for the Executive Certificate in IT and the Professional Certificate in IT must be submitted through the Faculty of Information Technology. Domestic Research degrees
Research degree applicants	Applications for research degrees must be submitted through the Faculty of Information Technology Research Services. See How to apply for a research degree.
Single unit, cross institutional, course transfer, credit
To apply for a single unit and cross institutional study	If you wish to study an individual unit, which does not lead to an award, please see How to apply for a single unit / cross-institutional study.
Course transfer	If you are already enrolled in a Monash degree, and wish to transfer to another degree, please see How to apply for an internal course transfer.
Recognition of prior study	Prospective students who have previously studied at a college, TAFE or university may be eligible for some recognised units to be credited towards their Monash degree. See How to apply for credit / recognition of prior study.
Study modes
