Single Unit and Cross Institutional study

Single Unit Enrolment

Enrolment in single units can be taken outside an award course where places are available.  Please note that a maximum of four units can be taken per semester. 
An award will not be provided at the completion of study, but a statement of final results will be available upon application.

Cross-Institutional Study

Individuals who are enrolled in a degree program at another recognised tertiary institution may apply to study single units on a cross-institutional basis. An award will not be provided upon completion of study, but a statement of final results will be available upon application.

Where specified, you must provide evidence of meeting pre-requisites as per unit requirements.

Enrolment

  1. Please download Single Unit and Cross-Institutional application form from the following page: Student Services Forms
  2. Attach the following supporting documentation:
    • Proof of Residency
    • Certified proof of meeting prerequisite (if applicable)
    • Student applying for cross-institutional study are required to provide either an original or certified copy of supporting letter of approval from their home institution
  3. Submit completed forms and relevant documents to:

Fees

Cross-institutional applicants will be charged either full-fee or Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP) according to the verified funding status at their home institution. 

Single Unit applicants will be charged full-fee rate. 
The current (2009) cost for an Information Technology unit is $2,560.
