Course transfer

Students currently enrolled in an Information Technology course, or from another Monash University Faculty, or in a course from another University, may apply to transfer into an Information Technology degree.

If you wish to transfer from your current course, follow these steps below:

Step 1

Choose an IT course which suits your interests to transfer into.

Step 2

Check the entry requirements to see if you are eligible for entry.

Step 3

3.1     For current Monash University students only -
Download and fill out the Course Transfer Application Form from the Student Forms page
or contact the Faculty Admissions Office prior to completing your current degree.

3.2     Local undergraduate students attending other institutions -
Local undergraduate students applying for transfer into an Information Technology
undergraduate degree, must apply through VTAC for semester 1 entry.  For
semester 2 entry, students are to submit an Undergraduate Direct Entry Application Form,
or contact the Faculty Admissions Office prior to completing your current degree.

Step 4

Submit or return the completed form to the main Faculty Admissions Office. International students should return their completed form to International Admissions Office.

Step 5

Local postgraduate students who wish to apply to transfer into an Information Technology Postgraduate Degree can submit a Postgraduate Application Form to the Faculty Admissions Office.

Please note:  WES cannot be used to transfer to another course. Upon submitting the final form and pending the outcome of your application, re-enrol in your current course via WES.

Students transferring to another campus but remaining in the same course can re-enrol as normal. Any further enrolment changes necessary after moving campuses can be made.
