Single Unit Pathway

The Single Unit Pathway is designed for applicants who do not meet the normal entry requirements of a Faculty of Information Technology (FIT) Undergraduate (Bachelor) degree.

Single units undertaken must be two (2) IT related units from an Australian University or Open University Australia.  Students will be eliglible to apply for a Faculty of IT undergraduate degree if they achieve a minimum of a pass average (50%) in both units for the Bachelor of Information Technology & Systems degree, Bachelor of Computer Science, or the Bachelor of Software Engineering.  Or a minimum of a credit average (60%) in both units for the Bachelor of Business Information Systems or the double degree, Bachelor of Business and Commerce/ Bachelor of Information Technology & Systems.

Students are also required to satisfy Monash University's minimum English Entry Requirements.
Visit Application Process page for more information on how to apply for an on-campus or an off-campus course.

As students are not enrolled in a Monash University degree program, no award is received at the completion of study.  However, students do receive a statement of their results.

Credit for both units successfully completed may be granted towards subsequent enrolment in an undergraduate degree.

The Faculty of IT is offering Undergraduate Single Unit Pathway Bursaries.  These bursaries are for future students who are offered a place in the FIT Single Unit Pathway.  For further information and eligibility requirements please contact Faculty of Information Technology Scholarships Officer.
