Postgraduate Diploma in Information Technology

2009 Re-enrolment Information

During 2007, the Faculty of Information Technology undertook an extensive review of its current graduate and postgraduate degrees. The IT sector is changing rapidly and it is important that our degrees continue to address the requirements of the organisations that employ our graduates.

From 2009, the Postgraduate Diploma in Information Technology will have a new course structure. The new structure introduces the following Specialisations:

  • Data management
  • Digital communication*
  • Distributed and mobile systems
  • Intelligent systems
  • Internet and web application development
  • Multimedia systems*
  • Network computing
  • Security
  • Software engineering

* not offered in 2009

The changes to the course will not prevent current students from continuing with and completing their current course (provided they are progressing satisfactorily through their course).

A transfer to the new PGDIT structure is recommended for all currently enrolled students. If you wish to transfer please indicate your intention to do so via email to Jacqui Hamilton (Jacqueline.Hamilton@infotech.monash.edu.au)
