Master of Business Systems Professional Re-enrolment 2008

The Faculty of Information Technology has recently undertaken a major strategic review of its courses to ensure the best outcomes for graduates.  We are committed to delivering courses that are innovative and continue to be relevant to the changing needs of both students and employers.  For 2008 the Master of Business Systems and the Master of Information Management and Systems degrees will include a range of specialisations or professional tracks selected from areas such as Business Application Development, Business Intelligence, Business Systems, Corporate Information and Knowledge Management, Enterprise Systems, and Library, Archival and Recordkeeping Systems.

In 2009 the Masters of Business Systems (MBS) and the Master of Information Management and Systems (MIMS) degrees will merge to create the Master of Business Information Systems (MBIS).

Professional Tracks

Students who commenced the Master of Business Systems Professional prior to 2008 can choose to EITHER complete tracks in the new structure OR in the old. For students who have commenced tracks under the old Master of Business Systems Professional structure, please see below for new units that will count towards completion of your track.

Please note: Equivalent BUSxxxx units are listed – students cannot complete both the BUSxxxx unit and its FITxxxx equivalent.

Units appearing below in multiple professional tracks may be counted only once, as part of a single professional track. Units that form part of a professional track are also available individually as electives provided any prerequisite requirements have been satisfied.

Units are all 6 points and offered at Clayton unless otherwise indicated (CA: Caulfield).
