Bachelor of Software Engineering:

For current students:

Bachelor of Software Engineering

Re-enrolment for 2009

The Monash University re-enrolment period begins on Monday 13 october and ends on Monday 24 November. All continuing students are required to re-enrol during this period.

Please follow the steps below in order to re-enrol:

  1. Identify the 2009 unit codes you wish to enrol in and check that your expected course completion is on track.
  2. Refer to the Faculty of Information Technology re-enrolment web page for important information and a link to the Web Enrolment System (WES):

If you require any assistance, please do not hesitate to seek advice from Clayton Student Services staff in the first instance.

Course Maps & Course Structure Information

Students who commenced in 2006 or after:
Bachelor of Software Engineering - Handbook, Course Maps

Industry Based Learning Placement Program
Software Engineering students interested in completing an IBL placement in 2009 should re-enrol as per the standard coursemap. The School will contact students eligible to apply for IBL placements after the re-enrolment period and will adjust the enrolments of selected students after offers are made.

Students who commenced prior to 2006:
Bachelor of Software Engineering - Handbook, Course Maps, Unit Equivalence

Students are advised to check prerequisites and prohibitions carefully before enrolling in units.

Approved BSE Electives

ONLY electives listed at http://www.infotech.monash.edu.au/courses/2009/undergraduate/2770/se-electives.html will count as 'Approved' Software Engineering electives. Students wishing to complete electives outside this list will need explicit WRITTEN permission from the course director.

Software Engineering IBL students: SE students are required to undertake a mandatory 12 point SE Studio Project in their fourth year. This was made an optional requirement for IBL students (see course map). However, we strongly advise the BSE IBL students enrol in this unit as an elective in 2009 as the accreditation body, Engineers Australia have expressed some concern about BSE IBL students being exempted from this mandatory requirement.
