Re-enrolment for 2009

The Monash University re-enrolment period begins on Monday 13 October and ends on Monday 24 November. All continuing students are required to re-enrol during this period.

Please follow the steps below in order to re-enrol:

1. Identify the 2009 unit codes you wish to enrol in and check that your expected course completion is on track.
2. Refer to the Faculty of Information Technology re-enrolment web page for important information and a link to the Web Enrolment Systems (WES):

Note: FIT1006 Business information analysis has moved in semester 2 in 2009. Students who commenced in semester 2, 2008 who have NOT completed (or received credit for) FIT1006 should complete FIT2002 IT project management in semester 1, 2008 and move FIT1006 to semester 2.

Industry-based Learning students

1. Current IBL students going into second year in 2009 should re-enrol in semester 1 only. IBL students going into third year in 2009 should re-enrol in semester 2 only. All IBL students will be enrolled into their respective placement units (FIT2032 or FIT3045) by the School after the re-enrolment period.

2. FIT2035 Communication for IT professionals is now a 6-point unit available to ALL Information Technology students (but core for BBIS IBL students). IBL students who commenced in 2008 should substitute the Business and Economics elective in the IBL stream course map for FIT2035 in semester 1 of second year. Students selected into the IBL program in December 2008 should re-enrol in the coursework stream coursemap and will be advised of their enrolment options at the time of selection.

3. IBL students have a choice of overloading EITHER in semester 1 of second year OR semester 2 of third year. Students who choose to overload in semester 2 of third year MUST complete the following 4 core units listed in the IBL coursemap: FIT2035, FIT2006, FIT2013 and FIT2017 in semester 1 of second year. Students choosing NOT to overload in semester 1 of second year (meaning that FIT2001 must be completed in S2, third year) please note that FIT2001 is ONLY offered in semester 2 at Caulfield campus.

Overloading students must enrol in their 5th unit at the Clayton IT General Office.
