Off-campus learning (OCL)

The off campus learning mode provides flexibility to those people wishing to study while still working or involved in other activities and cannot attend regular lectures and tutorials. The faculty has a successful history of delivering and supporting off campus learning in IT and related disciplines.

Off campus students usually complete two units per semester so a typical undergraduate course would take six years to complete. This varies with double degrees and postgraduate courses.

Reasons to study off campus:

  • To earn an income and study at the same time
  • When your lifestyle may involve travelling; such as a professional athlete
  • You may be living in another state or a remote area
  • To upgrade or complete a qualification while working
  • If you are a home carer of children or other people
  • Move into a new profession
