The Bachelor of Software Engineering is a four-year degree, where the fourth year can be undertaken as a coursework study or an Honours stream. Students who perform well in level 3 are invited into the Honours stream, where they will take the research project CSE4402, replacing the fourth-year free electives.

Students should initially re-enrol in the pass fourth year level, until their results and invitation are known. If a student accepts an invitation for the Honours stream, the units selection will need to be changed at the Faculty Office.
