Off-Campus Learning (OCL)

Off-Campus Learning (OCL) is designed for those who cannot attend regular lectures and tutorials. It provides flexibility for those who would like to study, but have work or other commitments.

Off-campus students usually complete two units per semester. This is half the typical workload of an on-campus student, which means OCL students usually take six years to complete an undergraduate degree. This varies with double degrees and postgraduate courses.

Reasons to study off campus

  • Earn an income and study at the same time.
  • Your lifestyle may involve travelling, such as a professional athlete.
  • You may be living in another state or a remote area.
  • To upgrade or complete a qualification while working.
  • You are a home carer of children or other people.
  • Move into a new profession.
