Your eligibility depends on which lab you would like access to.
ITS labs permit all students to register for after hours access.

a) You have not registered your details correctly. This is a common oversight by students. Check the card issue number on your ID card. Please attempt to re-register via the auto tellers or IT Support Service desk
b) You are not eligible for access to a particular lab. For example, only SIMS undergraduate students have swipe access to Studio 1 and 2 on the Caulfield campus.
c) Ensure the barcode on your Student card is facing the right direction.
d) Try swiping your card slowly. A green light will flash if you have access.
e) Contact your nearest helpdesk only once you have attempted the above.
Approval times vary. Please allow 48 hours for your access to be approved. If you apply for access on Friday or over the weekend, your request will not begin to be processed until the following Monday.
