Q1.Where on campus can I connect my laptop to the Monash network?

ITS has two Network Ports available at the Caulfield campus.

ITS specifically state they will not provide support for creating the connection and students found connecting via any other network ports will have their computing privileges suspended.

Location: Library, Building A
Location: T1.25, ITS 24hr Access Lab

These two locations are the only network points where students are permitted to connect their laptop.

TCP/IP settings you must follow for this network port:

IP Address 130.194.80.188
Gateway Address 130.194.80.254
Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0
Host Name ca-t-125-43
Domain its.monash.edu.au
DNS Address (#1) 130.194.7.99
DNS Address (#2) 130.194.1.99
Domain Suffix Search Order (#1) monash.edu.au
Domain Suffix Search Order (#2) cc.monash.edu.au

Q2. My laptop has a wireless LAN card. Does Monash have a wireless network available?

Yes. You will first need to register your wireless LAN card with ITS, then download and install the VPN client. This can all be done from the following URL.

http://www.its.monash.edu.au/students/wireless/

You can also view campus maps displaying the Wireless Access Point locations.

Q3. Where can I access wireless in Building K?
