Laboratory Rules
In order to continue to provide quality service and maintenance of student laboratories, students are required to adhere to rules, policies and regulations set out by the Faculty of Information Technology.
For students' safety, each lab at Monash is under video surveillance. Faculty and Security staff patrol these labs regularly to ensure the labs remain in a clean, safe and reliable state. Please be advised that whilst we endeavour to maintain friendly and safe student lab environments, Monash University is not responsible for any lost, stolen, misplaced or damaged property. NEVER leave your personal belongings unattended.
Lab Rules - Apply to all computer laboratories. Breaches can incur penalties
Lab Etiquette - Avoid annoying other students. Turn off your phone, report any faults etc.
Internet Usage Policy - Your internet usage is being monitored. Internet
use is for course related work only. See also Modem Policy.
After Hours Rules - Students who are granted after hours lab access must read and to adhere to the Swipe Card Access Policy.
Laptop Access - Students are only permitted to connect laptops to the Monash Network at specific Network access points.
Computer Usage Policy- The acceptable use of information technology facilities by students. This is a Monash University wide policy defined by the University Secretariat.
