Ad Hoc Booking Information for FIT Owned Labs and Studios (Caulfield Campus)

Provided below is information regarding the booking of FIT studios and computer labs. There are 3 studios room available (K1.07, K1.08 and K.10) and 9 lab rooms (B3.43, B3.43, B3.44, B3.45, B3.46, B3.46B, B3.47, B3.48 and B3.48B.

Lab/Studio Charges

To book a FIT lab or studio room a charge of $65 per hour will apply. Once your booking has been confirmed, you will be asked to supply your departments cost centre and account fund number for the charge to be processed.

* For long-term bookings a negotiated fee may apply

Access to the rooms

B Block Labs - During semester the B Block labs will be open from 8.00am - 10.00pm.

Outside the semester period, the labs will be locked. Once you have made a booking, we will organise for the room to be open with campus security.

K Block studios - The studio rooms in K Block have swipe card access only at all times. For ad hoc bookings made in this room once the booking is confirmed, access to the room will be organised for you.

Facilities/Capacity

B Block Labs - These lab rooms range from a capacity of 16 - 21. The rooms are formatted in rows of computers. There are no data projectors installed in these labs.

K Block studios - The studio rooms seat 20. The rooms are formatted with pod style desks, with 3 computers on each. There are a data projectors installed in these studios.

Software Requirements

Requests for installation of software in the lab / studio rooms can be lodged after your booking is confirmed.
