Bachelor of Computer Science (2006)

Honours degree of Bachelor of Computer Science - first year 2007

I first heard about Monash from a relative and it sounded exciting. I wanted to find out more about Monash University, the campuses, its student life and the courses it offered. I found the prestige and global recognition that comes with a Monash degree gives students an edge in the global working environment.

I have always been interested in the field of IT and I was delighted to find out that Monash is the only one of Australia’s "Group of Eight " to have a committed Faculty of IT. As a future IT graduate, the profile of the university I come from is very important to me. A degree from Monash made me certain that I will develop good skills that will market me for great job opportunities with leading employers.

I am also a very social person, and for me, an ideal environment is one where I can find a balance between my work and social life. The numerous clubs and societies, coupled with friendly lecturers and friends from various cultures, attracted me to Monash.

The Bachelor of Computer Science  is a degree that explores the intricacies of computers such as how problems are solved through computer technology, how software is programmed, and how a computer really works. The most attractive feature of this course is its challenging nature.

The best thing about studying IT at Monash is the course content. All aspects of computer science are covered, from the basic to advanced concepts. The lecturers at Monash are friendly, approachable and helpful.
