6. International focus

The Faculty has developed a vast network of relationships with overseas institutions, alumni, academic staff and students. Our cultural and geographical diversity across five Monash campuses in Australia, two international campuses in Malaysia and South Africa, as well as partner institutions in Singapore and Hong Kong, provides a unique position among Australian universities to focus on specific regional issues as well as international perspectives. One of Monash's key strengths is the ability to service the local and global communities.

The Australian Computer Society (ACS) is the recognised professional association of the information and communications technology industry in Australia. It is concerned with maintaining standards and professional ethics and providing opportunities for professional education, networking and certification.

An ACS professional accreditation provides undergraduate and postgraduate courses with industry endorsement and peer approval. Course accreditation at the professional level indicates that graduates have met the knowledge requirements for professional membership of the society.
