Welcome to the Cognitive and Connectionist Systems Research Lab of Monash University, Australia.

From the imitation game to cybernetics to robots and neural networks, ours is the next phase - improvising on the understanding of connectionist systems, our research ambitions are directed towards the development of adaptive and anticipatory cognitive systems.

We intend to take a step further from the existing artificial intelligence concepts by incorporating the more profound human features of knowledge acqusition and intelligent application. The most complex parrallel processing structure, the human brain is our source of investigations, information and inspiration. The homepage feature is a mark of honour to this marvel of nature.

This lab is a research initiative of the Faculty of Information Technology at Monash University, Australia. Our faculty boasts of a rich tradition of research with revolutionary concepts and industrial applications in knowledge discovery, constraint optimisation, digital art, distributed systems and artificial intelligence.
