The Australian Conference on Knowledge Management and Intelligent Decision Support 2006, Melbourne Australia

ACKMIDS History

This conference has been hosted by the KM Research Program since 1998. We conduct research towards the development of a comprehensive approach to knowledge management for intelligent decision support. The KM Research Program at Monash University , is one of the formal research groups.

We study both technological and organisational/managerial challenges associated with introducing KM into enterprises. We have and are conducting a number of projects which apply and refine the theoretical models proposed.

The conference provides an arena for discussing current approaches to the way people and organizations work with knowledge. The ACKMIDS conference aims to facilitate an active exchange of ideas between academia and practice.

The conference offers participants an opportunity to generate and explore ideas and to share their experiences within the Australian knowledge management community. While focused on the Australian community, the conference has long enjoyed international participation from Europe, Asia and the USA.
