Opportunities to work with Information Technology researchers
The collaborative research option
If you require assistance with a specific research opportunity, contact us. You will find that collaborative industry funded research projects involving partnerships between Monash, government, business and community organisations are a cost effective way of securing a competitive advantage or undertaking vital research to ensure the innovative and effective use of IT. Industry-funded projects come in all sizes and can be tailored to meet your specific needs.
A useful and popular approach is to sponsor a postgraduate research student to work on your research problem. Projects can range from development of prototype software and hardware, to analysis of organisational structure, to the development of archival systems for Indigenous communities; and range from a six-month Honours project to a three year PhD project. As well as cost-effective research, you will also have access to Monash's extensive research expertise.
Success with government funded initiatives
Collaborating with Monash University on research projects means that you will benefit from the considerable funding that the Australian government provides for joint industry/university research. Schemes include the Australian Research Council (ARC) linkage project grants and Co-operative Research Centres.
Information Technology at Monash University has a very impressive and successful track record with government funded initiatives - working with us allows you to leverage on our success.
