Ben Snooks
Bachelor of Multimedia Systems – Major in programming *
Ben Snooks is studying the Bachelor of Multimedia Systems (3rd year) at Monash’s Berwick Campus. The subjects Ben has studied include animation and special effects, programming for 3D computer graphics, commercial programming environments, and entertainment and interactive technologies.
Ben is interested in pursuing a career in the games or animation industry. “I have dual interests as I enjoy programming, but have always wanted to work in animation and film. I can see a future career combining these two fields.”
After Ben completes his degree at Monash he is planning to undertake a postgraduate master’s degree in the field of IT. Ben wants to gain a broad experience at university before entering the workplace, ensuring he has the required skills to enter the games or animation industry.
“I’m also considering a research degree; there are areas of research involving 3D computer graphics that I would like to further investigate.
“I enjoy attending Monash University Berwick campus. The smaller campus located in the South Eastern suburbs has a good community vibe that I like.
“It’s very easy to make friends and build working relationships when you see the same people on a daily basis. Everything you need is just a short walk away and it’s good to be surrounded by people with similar interests as yourself.”
* The Bachelor of Multimedia Systems is the previous form of the Bachelor of Information Technology and Systems with a major in multimedia
