Faculty Re-enrolment

Course and unit advice

Each year continuing students must re-enrol for semester 1 and 2 units using the University's online Web Enrolment System (WES). While the enrolment details can be viewed via WES at any time, they can only be updated during WES open dates. Some students may be required to re-enrol manually. Faculty offices will contact these students with specific re-enrolment information.

Please use the dropdown boxes for further information on your course and re-enrolment for next year.

Double degrees:
Please note, if you are undertaking a double degree you must use WES to enrol in units for both degrees during the re-enrolment period of the owning faculty for the course. Below are contact details for course advice relating to the Faculty of Information Technology component of your course.

Student responsibility

It is your responsibility to ensure that you comply with course regulations and requirements, including satisfying prerequisites and co requisite unit requirements. Your electronic enrolment record will not be checked by Faculty staff or course advisors.

  • When choosing your units, assume that you will pass all your current enrolment.
  • Refer to the unit offerings listing for your course and to the University Handbook.
  • Malaysia Infotech students should refer to the unit schedule of your course to determine which units are offered. Students who wish to take non-InfoTech units can refer to the Monash Malaysia website for unit schedules listed under the relevant faculty websites.
  • South Africa campus students should refer to the course plans supplied by the Student Services Centre to determine which units are offered in each semester. Students who wish to take non-IT units should refer to the detailed list to view unit offerings by other faculties.

Note: Although the Summer Semester offerings can be viewed via WES, the actual enrolment for Summer Semester is a manual process.

Penalties for failure to enrol during WES open period

To avoid a late fine you must complete your re-enrolment via WES during the official re-enrolment period (see the WES open dates). Failure to complete your re-enrolment during this period may have the following consequences:

  • you may lose your place in your course;
  • you may lose your Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP) status, or be required to transfer to a full fee enrolment or intermit;
  • you may be barred from accessing WES;
  • you will be required to pay a late fee if you are allowed to re-enrol.

Note: If you are a student on the Malaysia or South Africa campus the penalty will vary (refer to your campus administration).
