| Instructor |
This is typically the lecturer. This person manages your unit resources, and creates your learning activities (e.g. discussions, assignments, quizzes). They also manage assignment and quiz marking and release of results. |
| Teaching Assistant |
This is typically the tutor. This person manages your tutorial or practical resources, and manages your learning activities (e.g. discussions, assignments, quizzes). |
| Student |
Students can access content and activities available in the teaching site (Section), communiate via Discussion forums, Mail and Chat, submit Assignments, take quizzes and self-tests, view released results. |

Forum for asynchronous communciation. |
| Learning Module |
Useful tool for organising and delivering student content. Can be used to group related content and learning activities displayed in a Table of Contents. Students can use the Create Printable View feature to download selected files. |

| Mail |
Communicate asynchronoulsy with individual or selected members enrolled in a unit. NOTE: you can only acess mail from within MUSO, as it is not a full email client. Use Mail Forwarding to have your mail sent to your ususal email client. (You can only reply to mail from within MUSO). |
| Discussions |
Communicate asynchronously with all members enrolled in a unit. NOTE: your lecturer may have included conditional release on selected forums. |
| Assignments |
Access and submit assignments online. View Graded Assignment feedback and marks (if released). |
| Assessments |
This tool enables you to take online formal tests, or self-tests. You might also have an anonymous survey available in the Assessments tool. |
