EndNote is a bibliographic database and reference management program, available for either Windows or Macintosh operating systems. It enables management of references by storing them systematically in a database properly designed for bibliographic data - journal articles, books, book chapters, conference proceedings, magazine articles, audiovisual material, patents, or even your own reference type definitions.
EndNote allows for inclusion of citations in the manuscripts by formatting the citations and bibliographies automatically, in any specified style (it can be customised to satisfy any criteria). Once the citations are inserted in the text, they will be automatically formatted and inserted in the bibliography or reference list(s).
More information about EndNote can be found at the Association for Information Systems (AIS) EndNote Resources page. The commercial software package EndNote is available free to Monash University students and staff. Please refer to the Monash Library's EndNote page for more information and downloads.
