Access to University Facilities if you are on Intermission
If you are taking intermission, you are required to leave your work area neat and tidy and take care of all personal belongings. Since other people may require to use this space you should back up files on your PC and leave all keys at the Front Desk of your school as you may be assigned to another desk or room upon your return.
If you are on intermission you are no longer an enrolled student of the university and therefore you are only entitled to the university facilities that are available to the public.

Access to University Facilities if your Candidature has Lapsed
If a candidate has not submitted a thesis by the maximum approved date their candidature will lapse and you will only be entitled to the university facilities that are available to the public. The School can provide you access if you are working on your thesis but this has to be assessed on a case-by-case-basis. If you need continued access, there is a form that has to be completed (and can be obtained from the School Research Administrator) and this must be filled out at least 6 weeks prior to your end date. Note that this form has to be approved by the Dean and then by Faculty Board and a copy of this form is sent to the ADRT who carefully monitors progress. Accounts can be given only for 3 months and will be reviewed at the end of this period. You will be provided a hot desk space in an available area.
